Hello. I'm wikipedia redactor from Poland. I'm trying to get article about one of the major cities in Poland: en:Katowice in all possible languages. There is almost 70 langauage version. Could You help me translate into TR wiki version. There is a source in English and French and some more languages. Just a few sentences (2-3). Please help.

I see that you still haven't updated the information about the death of Turkmenbashi and the new leadership of Turkmenistan. It seems starnge, while the rest of wikipedias strugle about the correct writing in English, or latin alphabet languages of the names of last Turkmen leaders, you even can't update such sugnificant events about your country. ve her geçen gün artabiliyor.. yani şaherçeler (küçük şehirler) 20 bin nüfusu geçerse tahminim, şaher statüsünü alıyor..

• welayat (bölge diyebiliriz) türkmenistanda 5 tane welayet vardyr.. türkiyedeki bölgelere benziyor.. ABDdeki eyaletler gibi desekde olur..yani her welayetin ayrı başkanı falan var..

bu welayetler çogalmaz ve degişmez. kesindir.. her wwelayetin sınırı vardyr.

• etrap (il diyebiliriz) = etrapların şaherlerden farkı.. etraplara köylerde dahil edilir.. we alanı büyük olur.. sınırları vardyr...

şaherin alanı küçük olur.. şehir merkezi ve köyler dahil edilmez... etraplara köyler dahil.. mesela: Balkanabat şaherdir.. etrap deil. we Balkan welayetin merkezi. köyü yoktur.. ama mesela serdar hem şaher hem etrapdyr.. çünki etrafynda köyler var.. "serdar şaheri"= dedigimizde, sadece şaher merkezi girir. ama "serdar etraby" denilince, buna büyük alan girer, ve köyler, "serdar şaheri" dahil hepsi girer.. biraz karışık ya.. :)

• kategori konusuna gelirsek..

mesela: Balkanabat diye kategori açarız ve oraya ait olanları dahil ederiz.. ve balkan welayeti diye kategoriye balkanabatı dahil edebiliriz.. tüm köyleri ait oldugu etraplara dahil etmeliyiz.. tüm şaherleri ve etraplary ait oldugu welayete dahil etmeliyiz. Türkmenistan içinede welayetleri, "türkmensiatan şaherleri"," türkmenistan etraplary" kategorileri dahil etmeliyiz.. bunlar benim fikirim.. ama bunu biliyorum. ben onaylıyorum.bence süper olmuş.. ellerine sağlık.. ben öncede türkçeden faydalanmıştım, bazı yerlerini yapamadıgım için, yarı olmuştu. ve sizden ricam. bu "baş sahypa kategori" şablonda da öyle.. There are many interwiki bots, but they don't have the bot flag enabled. This means that their contributions appear in the Recentchanges, which makes real contributions hard to find.

About the machine translation, it is up to you. I know of this research from my investigation in the field and thought it might be useful to you. It is possible to get high quality translations between related languages, i.e. ones that only need a small amount of post-editing. I will hopefully be working on something similar between Tajik and Persian for the Tajik Wikipedia. - Francis Tyers 14:39, 1 February 2007 (UTC)
